Wow, thing’s are moving real fast, it’s been a month since the last issue of Q Times. Times really passes so fast so how are you getting on?

I’m sure you are deeply aware of the slowing economy and all the layoffs… here, there and everywhere. I hope this situation will end soon but for the mean time, don’t let this tight economy affect you in maintaining security in your company because you might end up loosing more. We know this sounds tough especially for security professionals who are always pressure by demands to keep their companies networks secured.

Anyway, enough of the economy scary stories, today we’re glad to tell you about the past events that Quantiq has recently joined in. Last 18th and 19th of November, Quantiq & our partner SSH Tectia, participated in FSI World Congress at Suntec, Singapore that addressed the latest and upcoming trends in financial service industry, to discuss what is hot and what’s the latest on the horizon.

Nicolas Gabriel-Robez, Product Manager of SSH Tectia flew all the way from Finland to talk about “Secure Payments by Being Compliant to Several Standards”. He discussed different file transfer techniques use by enterprise IT today and ways to easily and cost-effectively secure it in heterogeneous networks.

Concurrently, on the 19th of November, we did another event at Suntec called SSH Live Technology Update Seminar which show’s various demonstrations on SSH Technology and key benefits of it as the choice of secure file transfer solution. Nicolas was also the lecturer of the said event.
